Christine Eubank is the sole proprietor and potter for
Oak Trace Pottery. Christy studied under E J King, a sixth generation
potter and a descendent of well known Seagrove potter J B Cole. She also
completed the local pottery program at Randolph Community College in
Asheboro, NC. Shortly thereafter she was hired as a pottery instructor
at the college. She currently teaches 4 days a week. When not helping
others learn how to throw, you can often find her at home in her barn
loft making her own work which she sells across the state at shows
through out the year and offers in a couple of select retail stores
including Books to be Red, in Ocracoke, NC and Seagrove Creations,
located in Seagrove, NC.
For the past 2 years she has been experimenting with crystalline glazes.
Most recently she is developing a small array of crystalline colors.
These are unique items that cannot be duplicated due to the firing
process and are offered on-line in a buy-it-now section.
Located in Ramseur, North Carolina, just a half an hour away from
Seagrove, North Carolina, the "pottery capital of the world" Oak Trace
Pottery makes a wide selection of hand thrown pottery items - both fun
and functional.
We specialize in equine artwork and will be happy to accept a
custom
order and immortalize your favorite horse forever for a reasonable fee.
We also have a nice selection of artwork that you can select and put on
the pot of your choice. A clear glaze applies over the original
artwork on the stoneware before it is kiln fired. The colors will not
fade and it is food safe. All custom type orders take a minimum of 6
weeks to make and ship.
In addition there are several colors and color combinations that will
work with most kitchen or household themes. All items are 100% lead free
, oven proof, and safe for use in dishwashers, refrigerators, and
microwave ovens.
